I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
